FASD Youth Coach Program
Providing youth impacted with FASD an opportunity to take part in community programming with support, and developing structured activities that expand social skills and volunteerism.

Goals of the Program
To address the needs of youth with lived experience of FASD through community programming and mentoring.

Provide existing youth programs the knowledge and education to develop FASD informed programming.

Provide one-on-one community mentoring when able.
- 3
Provide opportunities for youth to participate in community programs with support.
- 4
Offer programming which focuses on social communication and social skill development.
- 5
Utilize physical literacy programming to develop programs for youth.
- 6
Practice self-advocacy within all programming.
Youth Mentors
The youth program also develops within the youth mentors supporting the youth, knowledge and skills to support those impacted with FASD — while strengthening the importance of the prevention message around FASD for the mentors to share with their peers.
